Hardcover. Condition: Poor. 159 pp. Published 1786 in London (no other pub info). Front cover has separated from spine. Wearing along perimeter of cover and particularly on spine. Front endpaper missing. Rear hinge is fragile. Pen leaking through back of first page, some foxing throughout text. Text block appears clear and unmarked throughout.

Name in ink on verso of frontispiece. Title page soiled, light internal foxing in a few places. First edition was 1692. The pseudonymous author, Jacob Curate, is identified by Halkett & Laing as Crockat & Monroe, other sources list these as 'Crokat, & Monro'. Bookplate of Alexander Thomson of Banchory [1792-1868].
