Tipped into the gutter margin of the title page is a gilt embossed letterhea…d, with coat of arms, of the City of Melbourne with the printed message "To Sir William Slim Freeman of the City of Melbourne" signed in full in ink by the Lord Myaor and dated to 26 January 1960. Slim concluded his term of office as Governor-General of Australia seven days later. A good clean copy [471g].
