The boards have light surface marking with bumping to the bottom of the spine and a light dent to the top edge of the rear panel. Page edges are browned with some scattered brown spotting. The endpapers have some browning and spotting. The pages are otherwise unmarked. Jacket has some edge wear and slight chipping to the top and bottom of the spine. There are two tiny closed tears to the top of the rear panel. The rear panel has some discolouration with a little staining at the bottom right corner and there is heavy spotting to the reverse. Jacket illustration by Denis McLoughlin. One of the Boardman promotional bookmarks is laid in - this has a small patch of fading to the top right corner. First printing.
