Contact seller5-star sellerPoor condition. Color pictorial front board with undecorated white rear board; both boards well soiled and rubbed with edge-wear particularly at corners; spine paper chipped and torn with some separation from underlying mesh back-strip but with muted title lettering mostly present and legible. Front hinge quite shaken with board… somewhat tenuous; rear board firmer. Unpaged leaves (unfortunately no OCLC citation to indicate collation); last leaf present is a text page (reads as a concluding page) opposite rear pastedown so likely missing a free endpaper and perhaps a flyleaf or two. Old birthday ink inscription to a child on front free endpaper. Two color plates present (one being a frontispiece) with b/w illustrations amongst text. Some soiling, toning, and stains to interior pages. Affixed at front pastedown's bottom right is a Meridian, Mississippi bookseller ticket "'ye little house of | bookes and art' | (Rosabel S. Foresman) | 2113-15 Sixth Street | Meridian, Miss." which, per later ticket examples, was generally known as Rosabel's Book and Art Shop and which seems to have operated from the mid-1920s to perhaps the early 1940s. Sold as is with all faults - primarily retained for its unusual bookseller ticket which is quite different aesthetically from other Mississippi tickets from the same era.
