Isabel Cuchí Collnota (March 28, 1904 - December 22, 1993) was a Puerto Rican writer, poet, journalist, and teacher; She was director of the "Puerto Rican Authors Society". He came from a family of Puerto Rican historians and politicians. He studied journalism after completing his primary and secondary formal education. In the 1920s, Cuchi Coll moved to New York City with his parents and they resided on West 84th Street in Manhattan. After her father died, she, her brothers Luis, Víctor, Enrique, and her sisters Margarita and Conchita were raised by their mother. She was appointed director of the "Puerto Rican Authors Society". Under her position as director, she helped promote the written works of various Puerto Rican authors. In 1972, he published some of the works of his grandfather, Cayetano Coll y Toste, including eg. "History of slavery in Puerto Rico (information and documents)". He also published in 1970: "Two Poetesses of America: Clara Lair and Julia de Burgos". Mss7.
