Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. Stapled, brown paper wrappers with titles and illustration in black. The booklet is mildly creased and rolled in the lower half and there is a vertical crease or fold mark visible from the rear side of the booklet. Light edge wear and a small amount of foxing and soil is visible on the covers, but minimal. A previous owner's name (Anglo and Native American) is penciled at the top of the front cover. Date and publisher information absent, but 1930 is the date according to Todd W. Bostwick in Byron Cummings: Dean of Southwest Archaeology (also in our stock), University of Arizona Press, 2006, pp. 216-217. The Arizona Pageantry Association formed in 1926 to support plays that promoted Arizona history and tourism. Cummings wrote the plays for 1929 and 1930 and then the pageant was discontinued because of declining audiences and the onset of the Great Depression. A synopsis of each play in Bostwick's book identify this play as having been performed in 1930, which would be the last one for the pageant before it closed. Presumably this booklet was published the same year in conjunction with the play. 0.
