Glossy cream illustrated paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing, aging and soiling. Binding tight. Damp-staining to bottom edge of text block, with pages a bit wavy from moisture exposure and lightly discolored along the bottom edge, including on the 14 page colored plate section at the center of the book. Otherwise pages are lightly aged but clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. A good reading copy. [From back cover] Costume authority, stage designer, and scholar, Herbert Norris envisioned the history of wearing apparel as a series of great tableaux which he brilliantly described in an encyclopedic four-volume history of fashion.
