With original dark endpapers and all page edges gilt. 928 plates (32 per volume) after Finch Mason, R. M. Alexander, Cuthbert Bradley and others (the majority tinted duotone lithographs).Tinted duotone lithographs to most volumes, these become black and white plates in the later years.
