Munro, was a British writer whose witty, mischievous and sometimes macabre stories satirize Edwardian society and culture. He is considered a master of the short story and is often compared to O. Henry and Dorothy Parker. Influenced by Oscar Wilde, Lewis Carroll and Rudyard Kipling, he himself influenced A. A. Milne, Noël Coward and P. G. Wodehouse.

Wraps have wear around the edges. Front cover has a 0.5 inch chip to the lower corner and some chipping at bottom edge bear the spine. Soft vertical crease down center. Back cover has chipping at lower edge bear the spine. Some wrinkling and toning hinge. A nice copy.
