Chisholm's gospel hymn 'Living for Jesus' at No. 45, Uplifting Songs: For Use in The Prayer Service, The Evangelistic Service, The Young People's Service, Conventions, Assemblies, The Home is a 1917 sacred music compilation issued during the height of the early twentieth-century American Protestant revival movement. Compiled and edited by church composer C. Harold Lowden alongside Christian education pioneer Rev. Rufus W. Miller, D.D., the work was produced by The Heidelberg Press in Philadelphia to supply four-part vocal arrangements across congregational prayer meetings, youth conventions, evangelistic rallies, and domestic devotional settings. Organized into thematic departmental sections, the volume encompasses 177 numbered hymns, gospel tunes, choruses, temperance songs, and responsive scripture readings with complete SATB vocal musical notation and keyboard arrangements. The musical selections reflect the collaborative work of gospel hymnists of the World War I era, closing with a topical and departmental index designed for church service leaders. Published in Philadelphia in 1917, the manila paper wrapper issue was the publisher's accessible congregational format, originally distributed in bulk to churches and youth assemblies.
