Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Red boards with black and gilt decorations. Bottom right spine/crack edge has a split on the exterior of the cloth. Cosmetic in nature, this crack is not impacting the function of the spine. Evidence of some dampstain on the rear board. Pages are toned. No owner's names or book plates. Binding has slight forward lean to it. Corners are sharp. At the rear of the book, there are advertisements of other D. Appleton Books published around the same time. Corners are fairly sharp with only a tiny bit of fraying at the bottom front corner. This book comprises Volume II only.
