The note reads: "Admit the Bearer to the House of Peers to this Evening's Debate", and is addressed to the doorkeeper of the House of Lords. Signed "Dacre", almost certainly by Lord Dacre. A scarce survival of mid-Victorian parliamentary ephemera, functioning as a visitor's admission pass to the House of Lords. Old folds, light creasing, minor toning and slight handling wear. Very good condition overall.
