It goes on to say that this incarnation of Gong is New York-based "under the wing of Giorgio Gomelsky and his Zu 'alternative production lab'. The central figure is an 'interplanetary poet' named Daevid Allen." Founded in 1967, and still active, according to the Wikipedia: "Gong is a Franco-British rock band formed by Australian musician Daevid Allen." An interesting and little known musical effort in some ways reminiscent of Crass.
