Complete in two volumes. The annotated edition of Thomas Ingoldsby's celebrated work. Complete in two volumes. Bound in half calf with marbled boards. Collection of whimsical legends, myths, and ghost stories by Thomas Ingoldsby, the pen-name of clergyman Richard Harris Barham. Barham was also known for his contributions to the 'Edinburgh Review' and the 'Literary Gazette'. With notes by R. H. Dalton Barham, the real name of Thomas Ingoldsby, who was generally known under his pseudonym. Illustrated by Leech, Cruikshank, Barham, Gilks and Buss, with twelve illustrations to Volume I, including a folding plate, and fifteen to Volume II. Collated, complete. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, sound with slight rubbing to the extremities and joints. Light bumping to the extremities and spine. Hinges are a touch strained. A little fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with spotting to the first few pages, mainly to the illustrated title page and frontispiece. Good. book.
