An introduction indicates that this is an original poem based on an old folk tale, that was originally published as "Sleeping Beauty" in 1697, and later retold by the Grimm brothers in German. Illustrated throughout with silhouette pictures created by Arthur Rackham that were originally published in London in the early 20th century by William Heinemann, and used to illustrate a prose version of Sleeping Beauty. Signed by the author on the title page. One corner of the front cover is bent which is hardly noticeable and has no impact on the contents, which is clean and intact.
