Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Dust jacket has a light pink stain at tail at the back, approx. 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/4" deep, which has penetrated to the rear endpaper and paste down. It does not affect the text block, which is very clean and tight. Caserta, who died 11/28/24, goes into graphic, salacious detail about her love affair, and drug usage, with Janis Joplin. The two were close friends in Haight Ashbury and Caserta had traveled to Woodstock with Joplin. Caserta later renounced the book, claiming that her stories were embellished by her co-author and that she did it only for money that she used to buy heroin.
