Light foxing and offsetting to first few leaves and one other. Last leaf with a small amount or edge restoration. A very clean copy overall. Very scarce. A. B. 3643. Danenhower was Executive Officer aboard the ill-fated JEANNETTE. His account was originally published in the New York Herald, and in the introduction indicates an intention of later writing a more detailed account, apparently never done. He died in 1887, only 38 years old.
