Collection of 17 vintage glossy French photographic lobby cards from the 1964 film. All have "Cocinor Agence" stamps on the verso, 15 have "E" stamps, two have "D" stamps on verso. Based on the 1900 novel by Octave Mirbeau and adapted as only Luis Buñuel would. Celestine (Jeanne Moreau) is hired as a chambermaid for pervy M. Monteil (Michel Piccoli), his frigid wife (Francoise Lugagne) and his wife's foot-fetishist father (Jean Ozenne). When the father dies Celestine decides to quit, but when a young neighborhood girl Claire (Dominique Sauvage) is raped and murdered, Celestine becomes determined to find the killer. Set in and shot on location in Essonne, Seine-Maritime, and Val-de-Marne, France. 11.5 x 9.25 inches. Very Good plus, with pinholes at corners and light curling. Criterion Collection 117.
