This implies acquiring a grasp of the ways in which scientists arrive at conclusions about the psychological, physiological, and other actions of drugs. People, in learning about drugs, must not only study what doctors, pharmacologists, psycholgists, and other authorities have to say, but must bring themselves up to a level of competence permitting critical evaluation of the validity of available information.
