First " OMNIPOTENT " which means " All-Powerful " " Is anything too hard for the Lord? As I said, nine months from now I will return, and Sarah will have a son." Gen. 18:14 "Jesus answered, "What is humanly impossible is possible for God." Luke 18:27 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Rev. 19:6 Second we call God " Omnipresent " which means " All Present " " Where could I go to escape from you? Where could I get away from your presence? If I went up to heaven, you would be there; if I lay down in the world of the dead, you would be there. If I flew away beyond the east or lived in the farthest place in the west, you would be there to lead me, you would be there to help me. I could ask the darkness to hide me or the light around me to turn into night, but even darkness is not dark for you, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are the same to you. " Psalms 139: 7-12 Third we call God " Omniscient " which means " All-Knowing " " The Lord sees what happens everywhere; he is watching us, whether we do good or evil. " Prov. 15:3 " I chose you before I gave you life, and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations ." Jere. 1:6 God is powerful, mighty, courageous, unequaled, unparalleled being. He is God of this univeres and unto Him there is none even similar to what He is and who He is. Taken all this in consideration, I would like to write on this subject " Four Things God Does Not Know " This item is printed on demand. It is then we must make an important decision on which road we are going to take for the rest of our lives. In Matthew 7: 13-14 we are told, " Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. " To illustrate this verse, I will change Gates to Roads because I think you will understand it better Now ! think of two different roads, one is a Interstate and the other one is a small one lane country road. Now the big Interstate (wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction ) is the road that leads to Hell and destruction, Now the one lane country road, " strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. At least, it is said, the book must have been written after the destruction of Nineveh in 612 b.c. But these considerations are not decisive. The similarity of this narrative to the Elijah-Elisha accounts has already been noted. One may also question whether mention of the repentance of Nineveh and the consequent averted destruction of the city would have had so much significance to the author after Nineveh's overthrow. And to suppose that proclaiming God's word to Gentiles had no relevance in the eighth century is to overlook the fact that already in the previous century Elijah and Elisha had extended their ministries to foreign lands (1Ki 17:7-24; 2Ki 8:7-15). Moreover, the prophet Amos (c. 760-750) set God's redemptive work in behalf of Israel in the context of his dealings with the nations (Am 1:3-2:16; 9:7,12). Perhaps the third quarter of the eighth century is the most likely date for the book, after the public ministries of Amos and Hosea and before the fall of Samaria to Assyria in 722-721.
