Ephemera. This is not a book. Two original promotional cards for performances of "The Gorey Details: A Musicale" by Edward Gorey, held at the Century Center, NYC, in 2000. The musical was written and designed by Gorey; directed and choreographed by Daniel Levans; with music by Peter Matz; produced by Ken Hoyt and Kevin McDermott; and was "filled with bats on tightropes, deranged divas, and unknown vegetables." The first preview was October 3, 2000, and the official opening, Oct. 16. Gorey died on April 15 of that year, but the show had been in development for several years, tested at the Provincetown Repertory Theatre and American Repertory Theatre. Two cards, both stiff card, printed both sides. One is 4 x 9 inches with review quotes and is in Fine condition. The other is 8 x 6 inches and offers a discount on tickets; it has been mailed with a couple of creases, an address label, and some light scuffing. Will be sandwiched securely between stiff layers of cardboard and shipped the next business day. International postage may be less than quoted.…
