Hard back binding in publisher's original elaborate Persian designed gold, cream and green designed cloth covers with deep relief to the front and rear covers, gilt title to the spine, top edge gilt, gilt patterned end sheets. 8vo. 10¼'' x 7''. The Rubáiyát has unnumbered pages carrying the 106 quatrains of… Edward Fitzgerald's version enriched with 24 tipped-in coloured plates by Willy Pogany. Each sheet with elaborate gilt and different colour ornamentation of Persian design, borders in gilt and colours surrounding the text block. In Very Good clean and sound condition, with glassine dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám.
