T. - Danzer, (1743 - 1796): Seit 1762 Benediktiner im Kloster Isny im Allgäu, wurde er 1767 Priester und Stiftsbibliothekar sowie 1777 Lektor für Dogmatik. 1785 wurde Danzer nach Salzburg berufen, lehrte dort zunächst Dogmatik, später Moral- und Pastoraltheologie und wandte sich mehr und mehr einem aufklärerischen Rationalismus zu. Daraufhin dem Salzburger Erzbischof angezeigt, fand Danzer 1788 noch dessen Unterstützung, wurde 1792 jedoch seines Amts enthoben. Er kehrte nach Isny zurück, wurde auf seinen Wunsch hin säkularisiert und trat 1795 ein Kanonikat in Buchau an. Er publizierte u.a. Beiträge zur Reform der christlichen Theologie (1793). (DBE).
