Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - 'Infidels and Heretics - An Agnostic's Anthology' is an expansive collection of literature, philosophy, and poetry curated by the renowned attorney Clarence Darrow and Wallace Rice. This anthology serves as a comprehensive survey of agnostic thought, bringing together a diverse array of voices that have challenged religious dogma and championed the use of reason over faith throughout history. The work features selections from some of the world's most provocative thinkers, scientists, and writers, all of whom share a commitment to skepticism and intellectual honesty. By weaving together excerpts that span centuries, the Darrows provide a profound exploration of the 'infidel' spirit-the drive to question established orthodoxies and seek truth through evidence and rational inquiry. The collection covers themes ranging from the mysteries of existence and the nature of morality to the rejection of superstition and the value of intellectual liberty.Suitable for students of philosophy, history, and literature, 'Infidels and Heretics - An Agnostic's Anthology' remains a significant cultural document. It highlights the enduring legacy of dissent and the vital role that skeptical inquiry plays in the development of human knowledge and personal freedom. This volume is a testament to the courage of those who dared to doubt and a celebration of the secular mind. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
