Hardcover. First edition (NAP) . Hardcover, rebound into black cloth, annotated, xxiv, 459 pp + fold-out facsimile of 1 letter. Fair. Ex-library of Garrett Biblical Institute, Evanston, Illinois. Corners bumped, blotted-up water(? ) stain on upper third of cloth. Internally, front and rear hinges cracked, additional hinge cracks… between a few of the gatherings, missing front endpapers (starts with title page) , first gathering loose, 2 other gatherings also loose, paper age yellowed, some leaves torn and chipped along edges (text unaffected) , but otherwise complete, text unmarked, and despite the condition, probably never reallly read beyond a few of the selections. Letters from 1528-1545. Religion; Reformation; history.
