D'une vingtaine de mètres de hauteur, cette tour, la première conçue par l'artiste à Paris, a évolué au fil de nombreux workshops réunissant lycéens, étudiants et volontaires. En dialogue avec les Folies de Bernard Tschumi, la tour prend forme au fil d'accumulations et d'arrangements impromptus, dans le partage d'idées et d'efforts avec l'artiste, en habillant la structure porteuse de pièces de bois recyclées. Ce livre-DVD réunit le film de Gilles Coudert et une publication qui donne à voir le processus de construction et de déconstruction de cette uvre collaborative de Tadashi Kawamata. Le film restitue cette aventure au fil de témoignages des différents acteurs du projet et des réactions des participants aux workshops ainsi que des visiteurs de cette « folie collective ». Dans son texte, la critique d'art Emmanuelle Lequeux analyse et livre les enjeux d'une telle proposition. En écho à cette installation, le livre propose également une mise en perspective de dix autres projets de tours construits par l'artiste à travers le monde.
