paper wrappers. 8vo. paper wrappers. (i), 8 pages. Extrait de La Revue universelle des Arts (Octobre 1859). This pamphlet, extracted from La Revue Universelle des Arts, provides additional information not contained in Adam Bartsch's work on seventeenth painters and engravers of the Netherlands nor in Rudolph Weigel's supplement to it. It includes notes on Simon de Vlieger, Karle Dujardin, Adrien van de Velde, and Herman Saftleven. The pamphlet is lightly creased about one half inch from the top. The wrappers have slight wear and tearing at the edges. A loosely laid-in bookplate indicates that this copy came from the reference library and stock of H.P. Kraus.
