Piero de Macchi ha qui completato l'ultimo studio di caratteri del suo maestro, rimasto incompiuto, e presenta 10 serie di caratteri, raccolti in un DVD (Exemplar weights and sizes) qui allegato. I quartini , oltre ad avere esempi dei caratteri, sono illustrati anche con disegni rappresentanti personaggi illustri della tipografia . In this book, Piero De Macchi brought to completion Aldo Novarese's last design in ten founts: Exemplar 10 (very light roman), Exemplar 15 (very light italic); Exemplar 20 (light roman); Exemplar 25 (light italic); Exemplar 30 (bold roman); Exemplar 35 (bold italic); Exemplar 40 (black roman) - Exemplar 45 (black italic); Exemplar 50 (very black roman); Exemplar 55 (very black italic). Maroon cloth box, titled in silver, decorated in blind. Carboard packing case. A fine copy. With a TLs from 'Piero' to James Mosley giving something of his involvement with Aldo Novarese and concluding; "I have obtained ten complete series from the original letters (Ohamburgerfonstiv, for 4 + 4 series). The font exists, works and has never been sold. When printing the presentation book, I have unfortunately been forced to "submit" to the quality of digital printing which does not permit selection of a more worthy paper.
