A4 sheet folded to form [4] sides (last side is blank), illustrated; very good condition; loosely inserted is a 2-page essay on the significance of the kitsch Aboriginalia display by Kylie Belling and Johnny Harding. This exhibition was part of the 1992 Melbourne Fringe Festival. It included a display of kitsch Aboriginalia along with original works by Destiny Deacon, Virginia Fraser, Lisa Bellear, Christine Gillespie, Kim Kruger, Clinton Petersen, Louise Lovett, Chris Robinson and others. No copies traced on Trove. Provenance: From the estate of Virginia Fraser (1947-2021), feminist, artist, writer, editor and curator.

This image from Indigenous artist Destiny Deacon's digitally-printed Oz series was originally issued in an edition of 15, in a large format. This smaller scale print was made by the artist herself and given to her partner and artistic collaborator, Virginia Fraser. Provenance: Gift of the artist to Virginia Fraser (c.1998) Estate of Virginia Fraser (1947-2021), feminist, artist, writer, editor and curator.
