Their stock of manuscripts, antiquarian, and recent books was enormous and a series of at least six sales took place from Jan. 1835 through 1838. Books of every kind are included, ranging from important incunabula to the great natural history and travel books to deluxe copies of books published by various generations of the Debures. J.J. Debure dies in 1853, and his brother died a short time afterwards.
