R. a entretenu, avec beaucoup de bonté, Madame la supérieure, et a paru prendre un vif intérêt à ce précieux établissement spécialement destiné à l'éducation des jeunes demoiselles, et chargé d'enseigner gratuitement les enfans des pauvres. Dans ce salon, deux pensionnaires dignes d'un grand intérêt, filles de M. le marquis de Larochejaquelein, toutes deux d'un âge fort tendre, ont fait un petit compliment à Madame, qui a paru écouter avec bienveillance les enfans d'un père et d'une mère qui se sont de tous temps si fort distingués en défendant la cause du Roi et de la monarchie. Dans une des communes rurales de l'Entre-deux-Mars, de jeunes enfants ont environné la voiture de LL. AA. RR. L'un d'eux, chargé de porter la parole, s'est exprimé en ces termes : « Monseigneur et Madame, on nous avait fait un compliment ; mais je l'ai oublié. Voici celui que nous avons fait nous mêmes : Nous jurons d'être encore meilleurs Français que nos pères ». L'ordre des avocats de Bordeaux ayant été admis à présenter à LL. AA. RR. ses hommages et son respect, le bâtonnier a invoqué leur protection auprès de S. M., en faveur des avocats de cette ville : Madame a daigné répondre qu'il suffisait d'appartenir à la ville de Bordeaux, pour n'avoir pas besoin d'autre protection auprès du Roi ; mais qu'elle se ferait un plaisir de transmettre à S. M. les sentimens dont elle venait d'entendre l'expression" Le document est remarquable car si l'on y parle de "l'heureuse restauration", Napoléon est déjà en train de remonter vers Grenoble après son débarquement à Golfe-Juan le 1er mars ! Quelques jours plus tard, la Duchesse d'Angoulême tentera de soulever Bordeaux contre l'Empereur, ce qui lui vaudra le célèbre mot de Napoléon : "C'est le seul homme de sa famille". Bon état.
