Deuxième série, Études, 2). French text. Exlibris. - Study on the the Eu forest (Forêt d'Eu), one of the great forests of Seine-Maritime in Normandy, in medieval and early modern history. Covering an area of 9,300 hectares (23,000 acres), this beech forest, located in Le Petit Caux in the north-east of the department and the region, has close historical links to the Orléans family. Legally and historically, this study is notable for being one of the first to incorporate the foundational research of historians such as Petit-Dutaillis and Prou on the institution of forests in France and territories under Norman rule. After summarizing their conclusions, Deck offers her own analysis. Contemporary reviews praised the study for its philological and legal significance, highlighting its important contribution to understanding France's forest institutions. Condition : very good copy.
