An den Architekturmodellen von Decq & Cornette fällt auf den ersten Blick auf, daß sie etwas anderes sein wollen als die bloße Miniaturdarstellung eines Gebäudes. In ihren Modellen haben die beiden Architekten eine wesentliche Erkenntnis der modernen Kunst verarbeitet: daß es unnötig ist, die sichtbare Realität einfach nur zu verdoppeln. Die "Konzeptmodelle" (maquettes-concepte) von Decq & Cornette zeigen eher Leitlinien des Entwurfs, die in der gebauten Architektur nicht unbedingt sichtbar sind, sie aber strukturieren.
