Der Herr Professor J. van der Hoeven, der dieses Thier, welches bey Rotterdam gefunden wurde, zum Geschenke empfing, hat es mir zur Zergliederung und Beschreibung überlassen .' Professor J. van der Hoeven, who received this animal, which was found near Rotterdam, as a gift, has left it to me for dissection and description .' (Preface).- The two plates by A.S.
