Tiratura di 200 esemplari in carta grande ed impresssi sur beau papier. Opera ricercata soprattutto quando completa, come nel presente esemplare, delle due parti di testo e dell'atlante, usciti in tempi diversi per seguire un determinato piano editoriale. Sconosciuto a molte delle bibliografie consultate, compreso Vicaire. Uno dei pochi testi monografici dedicati interamente alla storia del monogramma, dall'antichità all'800.
