Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases to pages. Previous owner, who appears to have been a member of the Governor General's Body Guard (G.G. B.G) has written what looks to read "A. E. S. Thompson, G.G.B.G, 1884 to 1920" on verso of ffep. Another previous owner, Peter W. Hunter, has name and initials embossed on page preceding half-title page. On half-title page is written the name Lt. Col. Gilmour with some additional indecipherable words and the date of 2nd May, 1876 written. Brown cloth-covered boards with gilt embossed lettering. Boards are bevelled. Cloth is split 4" on front edge of spine. Some fraying at top and bottome of spine and light wear at corners. A few spots on pages, but pages are generally clean and without odour. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 87 pp.
