The letter reads "January 30, 1964. My Dear kaye, I hope you enjoyed your birthday party as much as I did. Thank you so much. Here is one of the first copies of my book which arrived today, it's not for Australia or America but for you. I hope, if you've time to read it, you'll like it & think the finished article looks pure, well. I've written to Lionel (?) and Eric Hiscock as you kindly said I ought. My love to you, yours ever, Denys". From the back cover: "Denys Blakelock has long been known as a distinguished actor and as a pioneer in radio and television. It is, however, only in the last decade that his reputation has grown as a writer and poet, as an instructor in the drama teaching world, and as an authority on diction and Standard English.
