Con ventiquattro saggi, articolati in sei quartetti, l'autore propone un'originale ricerca tesa ad una riconfigurazione del campo concettuale dell'estetico, nel suo necessario intreccio con gli altri domini del disco…rso filosofico (dall'ontologia all'etica, dalla metafisica alla filosofia della mente). Mentre nella prima parte ("La misura della mente") il tenore degli scritti è teorico, seguendo una scansione logico-tematica che dalla meta-filosofia giunge all'estetica passando per la teoria della coscienza, nella seconda ("Lo spazio del sentire") il tenore è quello di un dialogo con i classici (da Kant a Wittgenstein, da Novalis a Benjamin, da Adorno a Valéry) che contempera urgenza teoretica e analisi testuale. Più che in una chiave tematica l'unità del libro, nei due tempi di cui si compone, è da cercarsi in una chiave musicale: nel ritmo del ricercare un modus del pensiero e della sua espressione. Nella consapevolezza che la misura della mente non può essere un criterio puramente interno, dovendo misurare, nella sua esteriorità, quello spazio del sentire dal quale, con l'emergere di un'attitudine estetica, si sviluppa una mente simbolica. Catalogo della mostra tenutasi a Milano presso la Galleria Trentadue dal 1 dicembre 1988 al 15 gennaio 1989. Giuseppe Rivadossi (Nave, 8 luglio 1935) è un ebanista e scultore italiano. E…reditato l'interesse per l'arte dal padre Clemente, Rivadossi inizia ufficialmente la sua carriera artistica negli anni sessanta, avvicinandosi alla studio della scultura in legno, della terracotta e della lavorazione del bronzo, interessandosi fin dall'inizio dello spazio domestico che diventerà poi uno dei temi chiave di tutta la sua opera. Negli anni settanta, grazie all'attenzione di amici come Francesca Amadio e di importanti galleristi come Renato Cardazzo, Elio Palmisano e Alfredo Paglione, comincia la sua stagione espositiva come scultore che lo vedrà esporre in diversi appuntamenti artistici nazionali e internazionali come alla Triennale di Milano (1974), alla Biennale di Mentone (1976), alla Rotonda della Besana (1980), al Palazzo del Ridotto di Cesena (1996) e alla Galleria d'arte moderna Palazzo Forti di Verona (2005). Del lavoro e della poetica di Giuseppe Rivadossi hanno scritto fra gli altri: Giovanni Testori, Vittorio Sgarbi, Roberto Tassi, Gianfranco Bruno, Marco Vallora, Ermanno Olmi, Giorgio Cortenova, Piercarlo Santini, Mario Botta. Esemplare in ottimo stato di conservazione.
