Uncommon English to French translation of Mother Goose rhymes, with an introductory essay by de Kay, book designed by Chwast, Glaser and Zaid of Push Pin Studios, cutting edge, Manhattan graphic design firm of the 60s/70s. Signed by translator de Kay on the half title. Book better than very good - just a little dusty at top edge and spine a wee cocked. The dustjacket has some surface soiling and a few closed tears about the edges. Still, very presentable.

This poster is in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. Near Fine, a few small faint creases. Well suited for framing, will be shipped loosely rolled in a mailing tube.

Very nicely inscribed to New York society figures Arnold Weissberger and Milton Goldman, "Because I love themBecause they are the chicest and most elegant people I know. ." Arnold Weissberger was a theatrical lawyer, socialite, and photographer; Milton Goldman was his life partner and a prominent agent, heading the theatrical department at ICM. A nice New York City association; Viazzi was a Greenwich Village restaurateur and pasta authority.
