Quelques gravures roussies, sinon bon exemplaire. Deuxième tome non coupé. Édition originale de ce pamphlet contre la Monarchie de Juillet, présenté sous forme de fables. L'auteur fut poursuivi devant la Cour d'assises de la Seine pour offense envers la personne du Roi mais l'affaire se solda par un acquittement. L'impression des livraisons fut cependant interrompue par deux fois. L'ouvrage est illustré de 16 vignettes hors texte gravées sur bois par Thompson d'après les dessins d'Henry Monnier, légendées par la morale de la fable qu'elles illustrent.
