(Réve éveillé Dirigé, RED) ideata ed elaborata da Robert Desoille, ha nel campo della p…sicoterapia una sua validità entro un vasto arco di applicazione. Muovendo dalle intuizioni freudiane, quale il transfert, e dalle scoperte di Pavlov (i riflessi condizionati), Desoille afferma che le leggi scoperte da Pavlov ci permettono di comprendere la natura delle nevrosi e di scoprire i mezzi per correggerla. Allorché gli automatismi si stabiliscono in modo non adattato alla realtà, si hanno disturbi del processo nervoso che possono essere eliminati mediante il ?decondizionamento' dei riflessi condizionati sbagliati e lo stabilimento di nuovi in modo corretto. La psicoterapia si esercita mediante l'intervento nel sistema di segnalazione specifico dell'uomo: il linguaggio, di cui si stimola il flusso con i mezzi che appunto l'autore esemplifica nel libro: una sorta di ?sogno a occhi aperti? in cui le immagini si sostituiscono spontaneamente al linguaggio convenzionale per esprimere i sentimenti vissuti dal soggetto; un ?linguaggio intimo?, un modo arcaico d'espressione che richiede uno sforzo minore del linguaggio convenzionale. Alla parte teorica, l'autore aggiunge due esempi di guarigione: un caso di fobia e un caso di omosessualità maschile. Book.
