Pages in heavy green craft paper with a spine of brown suede. Pages are punched for a ribbon cord hinge, which is now broken. The album is filled with small sepia and b/w snapshots… of jolly Summer Camps, with August Supper Hikes, bathing pools and sporting activities, 'Wooding,' training camps, formal visits from the Chief Guide; highlights include a Scout Jamboree August 1929 with various nations represented including Japan and India and a Training Week in South Africa. The author appears to be one of The Three Desperate Dips: a trio of firm friends pictured having a great time in the Great Outdoors. Most photographs have lively captions, giving an insight into the tasks and activities of the day 'Signalling Message Entering Derbyshire from Cheshire,' with plenty of time for larks such as 'Murder on the Moor!' and essentials 'Ginger Pop!'
