Georg Detharding (Stralsund 1671 - 1747 Kopenhagen) entstammte der bekannten Arztfamilie Detharding, die in 6 Generationen Ärzte hervorgebracht hatte. 1688 begann er sein Studium der Medizin in Rostock, das er in Leyden fortsetzte. Im Februar 1696 erhielt er einen Ruf als Professor der Medizin und höheren Mathematik an die Universität Rostock. In den 35 Jahren seines Wirkens in Rostock war er vier Mal Rektor der Universität. 1732 folgte er einem Ruf an die Universität Kopenhagen, wo er bis zu seinem Tod tätig war und 1734/35 sowie 1743/44 als Rektor amtierte.- Papier etw. gebräunt und stellenweise braunfleckig.
