Non signalé par Sabin dans sa notice sur le Voyage. Il a été relié à la suite, du même auteur : "Recherches sur les principaux phénomènes de météorologie et de physique générale aux Antilles" imprimé à Paris, chez Gide et J. Baudry en 1849. Reliure à la bradel en pleine toile chagrinée noire, dos lisse orné de filets à froid, quelques petits manques sur les coiffes, accrocs sur les mors, encadrement de double filet à froid sur les plats, gardes et contreplats de papier jaune, tranches mouchetées, coins légèrement émoussés, reliure de l'époque. Charles Deville (1814-1876) dit Sainte-Claire Deville, géologue né aux Antilles dans l'île de Saint-Thomas, était membre de l'Académie des Sciences et professeur au Collège de France.
