Spine lettering faded. Firm and tight with no marks, stains, stamps or labels. Book is covered with clear adhesive film. No dust wrapper. Inscribed 'Gladys Lloyd with Compliments from T.H. Dey "Our true intent is all for your delight" (Midsummer nights dream)'. (Dey peppers his text with quotations from Shakespeare.) A Gladys Lloyd was an actress and wife of Edward G. Robinson. She is not in the index to the book but she and Dey moved in the same circles in 1920s and 30s London. This book is extremely scarce, and an inscribed copy even more so. Signed by Author(s).…
