Addressing forms are considered as an interesting phenomenon in the study on the across cultural communication because of including numerous addressing systems in different cultures and languages . This study focuses on the social- pragmatics aspects of form of address and terms of reference in Turkish and Persian in Iranian context. The aim of the study is to explore the choice of such terms in different situations by different people and also it gives opportunity to explore the influence of factors like relative powers and social distance on the use of forms of address on reference in the highly stratified society. Eighty people participating in the present study .Frothy group was Turkish and frothy group was Persian. In both of the groups were male, female, modern, and traditional subjects. They had t o complete the questioners which were about addressing form in different context. El objetivo del presente estudio es investigar la relación entre el género, el nivel de competencia y el rendimiento de los estudiantes iraníes de inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL) en las actividades previas a la audición. En el estudio participaron 90 estudiantes iraníes de EFL. Se les proporcionaron tres tipos diferentes de apoyo a la comprensión auditiva: vista previa de las preguntas, repetición de la audición y enseñanza previa de vocabulario. Se les realizó una prueba de competencia lingüística para dividirlos en grupos de nivel alto y bajo. Además, se crearon tres grupos experimentales. El primer grupo experimental recibió la actividad de preguntas previas, el segundo grupo experimental recibió la escucha repetida y el tercer grupo experimental recibió la enseñanza previa de vocabulario. El análisis de los datos se ha realizado con el software Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Se utilizaron la prueba t, el ANOVA unidireccional y el análisis post hoc para analizar los datos recopilados. Los resultados mostraron que el avance de las preguntas fue el apoyo más útil para los diferentes géneros y niveles de competencia.…
