Octavo (16cm); pictorial card wrappers; dark yellow edge-staining; 192; 128pp. Light wear to extremities, tanning to text edges, with a faint vertical crease to left edge of front wrapper on both sides; Very Good+. Dick's third book and second published novel. "Fed-gov is reconstructing the post-war world according to the precepts of relativism. Jones, a former carnival fortune-teller and preacher who can see a year into the future, says the alien drifters, origin unknown, are the greatest threat the world faces, a problem the Fed-gov refuses to deal with.
