Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This mimeographed copy of the screenplay adaptation of Molnar's play THE SWAN is in a black loose-leaf binder and contains a sequence of scenes, shots & all the dialogue for the entire six-reel length of the motion picture beginning with the opening MGM lion-head logo & continuing through all the opening credits. Filmed in Eastman Color and CinemaScope, the picture starred Grace Kelly, Alec Guinness & Louis Jourdan with Agnes Moorehead, Brian Aherne, Jessie Royce Landis, Leo G. Carroll & Estelle Winwood in supporting roles. John Dighton wrote the screenplay, based on the Ferenc Molnar play THE SWAN. The music was composed by Bronislau Kaper, the producer was Dore Schary, & the film was directed by Charles Vidor. Condition notes: the black loose-leaf binder is a bit worn & rubbed; the title page & the two subsequent pages containing the opening credits are detached & are loosely laid in & are torn with tape repairs & are heavily chipped at the edges. All of the pages in this script have two holes punched at the top suggesting that they once were attached to a two-ring clipboard; the pages are also creased horizontally across the middle & vertically down the center. The last 40 plus pages have been trimmed at the upper corners, but none of the text is affected. The last page (containing the end credits) is detached & loosely laid in; its edges are heavily chipped & it has some edge-tears. Overall, this is a good copy of the screenplay of a little-known Grace Kelly film. No illustrations. Pages: 130.
