Hardcover. Condition: Very good +. 1st Edition. large volume bound in black cloth covered boards with light wear and soiling. This binding is unlikely to be the original, but it is not new. What appears to be the original paper wrap cover is bound in at the front of the book andit has some color. pp 520 with 20 additional pages of advertisements split between the front and back of the book. Loads of photographic images spread throughout the book, one gorgeous chromlithograph advertising tea, 4 maps and 3 plans noted. The title page states 4 maps and 3 plans expected and 2 "photypes". This copy has 3 full page plates stated to be phototypes and there are 2 other full pages images of Czars. Overall, a very good copy of this scarce work on an amazing region.
