Ewell Doak Walker Jr. was Hollywood handsome, extraordinarily modest, and physically, the most talented (triple-threat /punt, pass, kick) football star of his decade (the late1940s). He was the quintessential role-model for high school and college and one of the few football players who earned selection for the College and the Pro Football Halls of Fame. He won the Heisman Trophy in 1948, the Maxwell Award in 1947 and was a 3 time All American (1946,47, 48). He then played 6 years for the Detroit Lions. He was Rookie of the Year, 4 times All Pro, 2 time scoring leader, and won 2 NFL Championships. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. Signed by Author(s).
